LINCOLN PARK MURDER
A man was shot on the south side of Lincoln Park on Tuesday evening. Paramedics responded to a shooting scene at East Capitol and Kentucky SE but simply put a blanket over a body.
MAN GUNNED DOWN ACROSS FROM LINCOLN PARK

A man was shot and killed on the south side of Lincoln Park at Kentucky Avenue a little bit after 10 p.m. today, police said.
MPD and the US Park Police responded to 1209 East Capitol St. SE. to the report of gunshots.
Neighbors who arrived at the park reported hearing a volley of rapid-fire of about 10 gunshots around 10 p.m.
Residents on the north side of Lincoln Park reported seeing a red, four-wheel all-terrain vehicle fleeing the scene westbound on East Capitol Street from 11th Street.
About two dozen police cars and an ambulance responded to the scene. A group of witnesses to the crime were interviewed by police on Kentucky Avenue. One included a woman in a glittery nightgown.
EMT technicians could be seen putting a pink blanket over the body of the victim on the sidewalk in front of 1209 East Capitol Street after apparently declaring him dead. A police officer said the victim was a man.
A large area on the south side of the park was cordoned off as police officers looked for shell casing.
The eastbound section of E. Capitol St. south of Lincoln Park was closed to traffic.
The initial police alert was vague.
