Capitol Hill July 4th Parade Information for Marchers
9:20 a.m. — All marchers meet with their groups.
9:45 a.m. — Marchers line up on 8th Street SE under the freeway overpass.
10 a.m. — Parade starts promptly with Eastern High School Marching Band.
10:02 a.m. — Naval Lodge group starts, followed by local politicians (they need to go first because they are so special, need to get to fundraisers and have five other parades to attend.) We will not hold the parade up if Mayor Bowser is running late per usual.
10:05 a.m. — Riff-raff groups finally allowed to start after impatiently waiting for blowhard politicians to start the parade.
Parade route proceeds north on 8th Street SE and ends at the Eastern Market Metro Plaza on 8th and D Streets SE.
Noon — Marchers head to La Plaza for copious consumption of margaritas paid for by Mary Farran.

WORKERS FIX FALLEN LAMPPOST

Weather: Sunny days are ahead!
The Fourth of July in the D.C. area will be full of sunshine, good weather and celebrations.
On Friday, it’ll be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 80s. It’ll be dry and less humid than the past week had been in the region.
“Grab the sunglasses, you’ll definitely need them. Hardly a cloud in the sky,” 7News First Alert meteorologist Steve Rudin said.
Clear skies will last through the night, so fireworks revelers will have a great sight. Temperatures will drop into the 60s by nightfall with light winds up to 10 mph.
FREE BEER. NO, REALLY. FREE BEER.
If you cannot make the parade, the Nats are giving away free beer at the 4th of July game at Nats Park. Details here.
